Funimate Video & Motion Editor

This is a fairly popular video karaoke app where children can post videos of themselves singing and dancing to a huge public forum where anyone can comment or follow them. It is very easy to make an anonymous account, so there is a high risk for bullying. While reviewing the app we saw users posting mean comments on others' videos, judging their body type, calling them "ugly", etc. We also saw children posting videos of themselves dancing in their underwear. It is also possible to find adult content via the search option, as well as find users who are willing to share adult photos/video of themselves and/or move inappropriate conversations to other apps such as Snapchat and Kik. As this app grows in popularity the amount of adult content to be found will also grow. This paired with its risk of meeting strangers may turn this app into an opportunity for predators to find children and communicate with them. No minor should use this app without a parent knowing and no child under 15 should use this app at all.
This app is gaining popularity and as more users discover this as a way to share inappropriate images, more adult content will populate the feeds. It is important to talk to your child about the way they are using this app and discuss with them the adult content they may come across while using it. They should also set their profile to private and you should periodically check their friends lists to be sure it is populated with real-life friends only. Visit our Parent's Guides section for more information on how to talk to your child about the risks associated with Fyuse.
