PlayStation App

This is the social networking app for PlayStation gamers. It tracks user games, achievements, and contacts. Users can add friends from Facebook, phone contact, or by username. There is also an option to "Request to Watch" a friend playing a game. This allows users to share screens with friends while they play. Much like Facebook, users need the developers messaging app to communicate directly with anyone. However, because of the option to watch another players game and the ability to find a user by username search, this game connects children with strangers and there is no control over the content they may be exposed to via these player profiles or the games they view. Parents should know if a child under 18 is using this app and no child under 15 should use it at all.
Any app that connects children with strangers can be dangerous for them to use. It is important to talk to your child and make sure they are not sharing any personal information via their profile as this is accessible to anyone using this app. Please visit our Parent's Guides section for more information on how to talk to your child about the risks associated with this app.
